As Construction Project Manager, you'll direct and oversee multiple construction projects working together with on-site construction supervisors to deliver on time, on budget, quality projects. The Manager achieves optimal efficiencies in labor, overhead, and supplies while maintaining safety standards. He/She collaboratively formulates and recommends policies, procedures, and programs to further advance UrbanCore's mission to ensure success.

Summary of Job Responsibilities and Requirements
1. Reviews design documents to check that they comply with budgets. 2. Responsible for client communication throughout the construction process. 3. Communicates and monitors project budgets. Monitors and reports costs. 4. Creates, communicates, and monitors project schedules including job and location assignments. Works with other UrbanCore team members and subcontractors to adjust schedules as necessary to bring project in on time, on budget, and within the quality standards set by UrbanCore. 5. Reviews owner and subcontractor invoicing and works with accounting to control job related cash flow. 6. Responsible for the correct construction and development permits issued from the applicable governing body. 7. Schedules and attends coordination and construction progress meetings with architect, engineers, and owners. 8. Regularly inspects work sites to ensure that work meets customer and contract specifications and the quality standards for UrbanCore. 9. Ensures compliance with all OSHA safety and Building Code regulations. 10. Represents company in a professional manner to all customers, vendors, and internal staff. 11. Promotes and adheres to the UrbanCore’s mission, vision, and values along with policies and applicable laws in a fair and equitable manner. 12. Other assigned duties or special projects, as needed.
Key Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
1. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, civil engineering, business, economics, or other related subject preferred. 2. Seven to ten years of proven successful commercial construction experience in various roles such as: engineer, superintendent, project administrator, and/or designer. Will consider a combination of education and relevant experience. 3. Experience in multi-family frame and adaptive reuse construction a plus. 4. Excellent time management and organizational skills; excellent communication skills including written and verbal, team and meeting facilitation, negotiating, maintaining confidentiality, and delivering difficult messages tactfully. 5. Demonstrates effective judgment, problem solving, diagnosis, continuous process improvement, and decisive decision making. 6. Creates an amazing customer experience; builds effective relationships and customer satisfaction. 7. Familiarity with the Richmond, Virginia construction industry and area trades/sub-contractors a plus. 8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; familiar with ProCore or related software a plus. 9. Valid Virginia driver’s license and clear DMV record. 10. Successfully pass pre-employment screening.

1. Work at client site in trailer / company provided vehicle, main office, or home office using company-provided technology and tools (e.g., laptop, phone). 2. Local travel.
