Managing construction operations from concepts of project selection, estimating, bidding, scheduling, subcontracting practices, cost tracking, project documentation, construction bonds, insurance, payments and the elements of close out.
Special emphasis on the development of professional communication skills through student prepared multi-media presentations.
Methods and management techniques utilized in the building process
Candidates must have a terminal degree in Architecture (M.ARCH.), Construction, and/or a comparable degree in a related field of study.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Teach all levels of construction science courses as well as courses in his/her area of specialization.
Experience in writing and presenting on architectural design, construction technology or construction management issues.
Knowledge of various representative software and media commonly used in the fields of architecture, construction, and/or industrial design.
Demonstrate a knowledge of construction materials and assemblies as related to use and theoretical interests of the architectural profession.
Demonstrate a body of professional work that has been recognized.
