We are seeking a self-motivated person to assist in the daily operations of the Company’s IT infrastructure and software programs. The Company is currently converting its ERP to Viewpoint Vista construction accounting software. The individual hired will assist in the development, administration, and rollout of the software. This is a dynamic position for someone who wants to be involved in the many different IT related aspects of a rapidly growing company. This employee will be a critical component of the company’s mission to modernize and track, record, and analyze many data points throughout the company’s numerous divisions.
Various Tasks Include:
Performs administrative activities and provides guidance on server hardware and software and related components, providing hands-on administrative and support activities where and as necessary.
Develop solutions to improve business processes and increase use of technology on the job site. This includes Leadership’s initiative to modernize the time collection for employees and equipment, fuel purchases and tracking equipment cost, in conjunction with new ERP system.
Develop and construct reports using SQL as needed for Operation and Corporate Departments.
Performs server hardware and server software maintenance functions such as firmware upgrades, installing software service packs and configuring enhancements.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with system configurations and hardware. Supported systems include but are not limited to Physical and Virtual Servers along with their associated roles - located within the data center and remote locations, Storage, Backup, Cloud Servers (AWS/Azure).
Set up technology needed at remote jobsites, included internet connections, and computer equipment as needed.
Maintains system security including operating system security patches and virus defense.
Develops and manages the technical documentation on activities related to maintaining effective systems security, backup/recovery processes and Disaster recovery systems/site methods and processes.
Researches and presents technical information relating to changes in Information Technology-related disciplines, regulations, trends and advances in system administration processes and provide recommendations for configuration or process changes and implement agreed/approved changes.
Minimum 2 years Construction industry experience or related field
Microsoft SQL proficiency
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Windows server and Active Directory
Minimum of 2 years of VMWare administration
Minimum of 2 years Citrix administration
Construction ERP experience
Minimum associate degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 3-year experience in computer programs or operating systems analysis
Microsoft MCSE certification is required
VMWare certification is required
Citrix certification is a plus.
