Oversee one of Berg s markets, Phoenix, and lead both day-to-day and strategic initiatives including business development, team development, best practice adherence, profit and loss, budgeting and managing the market to identified growth and profitability targets.
Lead with Safety first for regional construction businesses
Lead day-to-day operations in alignment with strategic and financial goals, including P&L responsibility
Provide leadership, management and the vision necessary to ensure that construction business units have the company's operational procedures, controls, systems, capacity and people in place to effectively delivery projects and sustain growth
Identify and capitalize on opportunities to leverage capabilities and synergies across business units and geographies to enhance results
Remain informed and knowledgeable about industry trends, advancements in technology and best practices
Champion and collaborate with technology services partners and internal departments to ensure Berg is competitively positioned within the industry
Business Development & Relationship Management
Positively and knowledgeably represent Berg in relationships with customers, prospective customers and vendors.
Responsible for developing new sales pipeline for region of responsibility.
Participate in and support team's business development opportunities as appropriate and provides guidance to team and SLT around opportunities to pursue with in the region
Attend key client meetings
Build sales and marketing expertise within Berg's various products and service offerings
Work collaboratively with CFO and other senior leaders to develop and implement annual business plans that support and advance the business toward long term growth objectives.
Partner with CFO to develop annual budgets and forecasts for region and manage resources within those budget guidelines and maximize profitability to support a stable and predictable business.
In collaboration with the CFO, conduct regular weekly evaluations of project profitability. Report those results, highlight issues and suggest interventions for early resolution to the SLT.
Ensure appropriate allocation of the market's financial resources (including head count) is stacked against the current priorities to meet short and long-term growth objectives.
Provide leadership, management and the vision necessary to ensure that construction business unit has the company s operational procedures, controls, systems, capacity and people in place to effectively delivery projects and sustain growth.
Build and develop a high-performing team that embraces high expectations, is results-orientated and engaged.
Ensures team they build promotes Berg's values and culture and is focused on collaboration across regions and geographies beyond the office or region they are tied to.
Openly shares knowledge, lessons learned and best practices to benefit others within the organization.
Model the leadership necessary to truly engage and inspire and establish a leadership presence throughout the broader organization.
Ensures employees in the organization receive regular communications related to company strategy, financial results, culture and values to drive engagement.

10+ years business experience within the Construction Industry
Proven business development experience
5+ years managing people and building high performing teams
Experience with large commercial construction projects (Drywall, Steel Stud Metal Framing, Paint, Plaster, Acoustical Ceilings)
Experience with estimating and project management best practices
Education / Experience
Bachelor s Degree in Construction Management, Business Management/Entrepreneurship or related degree preferred not required.
Mix of construction industry knowledge and track record of progressively increasing responsibility including building and developing teams.
Primarily within region of responsibility. Travel to headquarters for quarterly planning and strategy meetings 25%-30%.
