Responsibilities
Construction Draw Accountant
The position is responsible for all aspects of processing and preparing the construction draws in the construction accounting division for a large real estate developer.
Basic Responsibilities:
Data entry of invoices/subcontractor draws
Review and tracking of lien waivers
Review of General Contractor and subcontractor draws for accuracy
Scanning documents
Review of subcontract and budget change entry in construction accounting system
Calculate and input fees on the draw
Upload/download of data to/from multiple accounting systems
Prepare draw packages with construction AIA Forms and lien waivers
Submit draws to bank and/or equity partners for funding
Process checks
Review of invoices for correct coding and approval
Insurance Certificate tracking
Miscellaneous other duties as assigned by supervisor
A qualified candidate must possess the following skills:
Highly organized and extremely detail oriented
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in the allotted time frame
Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
Experienced with Accounting Systems
Good communications skills and the ability to work constructively with different personalities and situations
Accounting and/or AP background
Experience with Sage Construction (Timberline) and/or Procore helpful
Experience with Excel and Word
Construction background would be very helpful

Ability to effectively respond verbally or written to complex inquiries or complaints. Ability to present information to an internal group of employees.

Ability to analyze, plan and distribute portfolio loads to ensure team's success in meeting deliverables.
Experience with MS Office software (Excel) and accounting software (Timberline).
