The salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $90,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.

To be successful in this role you will be dependable, proficient in basic math and geometry, and be highly organized.
The Estimator’s responsibilities include, among other functions as requested:
Assemble accurate and complete cost estimates
Perform quantity take off and analyze plans, specifications, and contract documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
Independently set priorities to meet bid submission deadlines
Collect and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure bids are complete
Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
Develop strategies to win competitive bids
Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to evaluate site conditions and unique site challenges
Work Environment / Physical Demands: This position works in a professional office environment and on construction jobsites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The Noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally performed in outside weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and use a computer. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The Employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Minimum Requirements:
3 years of related experience with a general contractor, specialty contractor or construction manager preferred
